Otterburn (historically known as Otterburn-in-Craven)
OTTERBURN, a township in that part of the parish of KIRKBY in MALHAM-DALE which is in the western division of the wapentake of STAINCLIFFE and EWCROSS, West riding of the county of YORK, 8.5 miles (S. E.) from Settle, containing 40 inhabitants.

At the 2011 census the population was less than 100, so the details are included in the civil parish of Airton. However, in 2015, North Yorkshire County Council estimated the population of the village to number 40 people, a drop from 50 in 2011.
