New House (Newhouses) and the neighbouring Lea Gate farms are situated in and odd offshoot protruding from the Southeast corner of Malham Moor township, bounded by Bordley township to the East and South and Malham to the West.

New House farm is a National Nature Reserve now owned by the National Trust and is still farmed traditionallyExternal Website logo to protect its unimproved hay meadows, which support an amazing 30 species of plants per square metre.
