New House Farm
New House (Newhouses) and the neighbouring Lee (Lea) Gate farms are situated in an odd offshoot protruding from the Southeast corner of Malham Moor township, bounded by Bordley township to the East and South and Malham to the West.
New House farm is a National Nature Reserve now owned by the National Trust and is still farmed traditionally to protect its unimproved hay meadows, which support an amazing 30 species of plants per square metre. View the many species the area around the reserve supports .
Below is a facsimile of the Sale notice for the farm dating from 1803.
