Bordley
BORDLEY, a hamlet in the township of Hetton with Bordley, and parish of Burnsall, east-division of Staincliffe, liberty of Clifford’s-Fee; 7 miles from Kettlewell, 10 NW. of Skipton and 10 miles from Settle.
Samuel Lewis “Topographical Dictionary of England” 1831
Note that Bordley is not part of the original Parish of Kirkby Malhamdale, being originally in the parish of Burnsall and later Rylstone, it is include here because of it’s geographical location and ties to Kirkby Malhamdale.
Please also note that there is no public road for vehicles to the hamlet of Bordley. Vehicular access is for farm residents only on private lanes. However public footpaths and bridleways allow easy access either from Malham (Gordale) or nearest by road is from Grassington side of the hills.
